BookTubeAThon 2015 Day 1 Update

Hey guys!

So today marked the first day of BookTubeAThon. Although I did not get a chance to participate in the video challenge, I did manage to get some reading done in between my crazy schedule. I finished Wonder Woman Vol.1: Blood and got halfway through The Spectacular Now. It is my goal to finish the latter novel tomorrow and to start Miss. Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Thanks to Wonder Woman, I was able to complete two challenges: read a book with blue on the cover and read a book without letting go of it. In every update post, I will be keeping a list of the challenges I have completed.

BookTubeAThon 2015 Challenges:

1. Read a book with blue on the cover

2. Read a book by an author who shares the same first letter of your last name

3. Read someone else’s favorite book

4. Read the last book you acquired

5. Finish a book without letting go of it

6. Read a book you really want to read

7. Read seven books

I have to say, I was disappointed in Wonder Woman. The story was lackluster and focused more on side characters than Princess Diana herself. I might read the second volume just to see if it gets any better, but I have to say that comic wise, Marvel is definitely superior to me.

I am enjoying The Spectacular Now although it took a little while to get going. I have heard that people have mixed reactions to the ending, so I will be sure to chime in when I complete the book.

So overall it was a successful day. I read one book, got halfway through another, and completed two challenges.

Until tomorrow, kill your darlings, slay your dragons and keep reading and writing!
