Well, the year is winding down and I have to say it’s been a really good one. I’ve been fortune in both my personal and professional life. I found a new job, won NaNoWriMo and now I am ready to embark upon the next chapter of my story. As many of you know, I started the final draft of my novel Metallic Heaven earlier this year. I finished it last month during NaNoWriMo. Now, I am in the process of doing my final revision/polish for the novel. While doing that, I thought that I would give you guys an update on my writing plans for the remainder of 2015 and the whole of 2016.
My plan for December is to start polishing my story. I want to continue the revision process all through January and wrap it up, early to mid February. When that happens, I will then begin the promotional activity for Metallic Heaven including booking a blog tour, making trailers and other advertising material.
Around late February, early March I will begin outlining my next trilogy of novels. I hope to finish outlining the first one by April so I could participate in Camp NaNoWriMo that Month. April will probably also be the time when Metallic Heaven is released.
Once Camp NaNoWriMo is over, I will spend May revising my draft and I will participate in JuNoWriMo. Not sponsored by NaNoWriMo, JuNoWriMO is run by writers and bloggers on WordPress. I will use Camp NaNoWriMo in July to revise my second draft. August/September will be dedicated to polishing my manuscript. In October, I plan on drafting query letters so I can contact agents. Then I will start the second novel that November during NaNoWriMo.
So that’s my writing plan for the next 11 months. Keep in mind that things will probably change, but I am going to make a super human effort to have another book written by the end of next year.
I will probably check in again before the year is up. Until then, kill your darlings, slay your dragons and keep writing!
