Hello everyone! Another crazy week has come to an end and I am happy to say that I have another chapter under my belt. Despite having to work late nearly every day this week and run errands like a made woman, I managed to complete chapter 13. Only two more chapters to go until I finish Act 1!

The good news is that chapter 14 is practically written. I just have to tweak a few things here and there. Then, I will be at chapter 15, the final chapter of Act 1! As I mention in my last update, my writing has really come to life now that my protagonists have met. The dialogue and interactions between them really drive the second half of Act 1.

In other news, my six-word stories have been rejected by a number of publications, but I am not too worried. Six-word stories are hard to place. If I cannot sell them to a magazine or journal have some other poems and short stories I can send out on submission. My other major writing goal for this year is get another piece published. I am confident that can happen. I am also eagerly waiting to for the publication of my short story “A League of her Own.” Aethlon: The Journal of Sports Literature accepted the story back in November. The issue with my story should be coming out within the next month or so. I cannot wait to see it in print.

I hope you are all having a great time with your WIP!

Until next time, kill your darlings, slay your dragons, and keep writing!

  1. You keeping up with your writing despite working late just shows how much you take your craft seriously. Other non-committed writers would probably have come up with a thousand excuses. So great to see this hustle. It’s inspiring. Wishing you all the best with all your writing goals!
