The Perfect Fit

You told me that I was perfect, but babe

you lied. There is no such thing as perfect

when it comes to me. How can I forget

how the lithe models look on the pages

of the fashion magazines? Vogue and Elle

and Seventeen too, I cannot keep track

of the trends (are acid washed jeans really back?)

No, I am not perfect, that I can tell.

Because I have seen perfect babe and it

is not something that you can sell. I have

tried the boots but they do not fit my calves.

I looked everywhere for the perfect fit

and I found it in you so please stop lying.

I am not perfect, not even trying.
