Hello everyone! Another week, another writing update!

Last week, I posted my first writing update of the month, chronicling my development of minor characters in my novel.

Today’s post is going to be much shorter. Thanks to the demands of work and the tedious ongoing process of developing characters, there isn’t much to report. However, I plan to make significant progress in the upcoming days. My goal is still to have my outline completed by the end of the month so I can started writing draft three in February. Before I start working on that however, I have a few more things that need to get done.

First, I want to make a list of all of my settings, writing down a brief description of each one. The purpose of this is to make my writing easier. When I need a setting, I can just open my Scrivner document and pull out all the details I need. This allows me to devote more time to developing my actual writing.

My other goal is to write a short story that I hope to send out for publication before I start my outline. I have an idea I just need to finesse.

I would be interested to hear about what you guys are working on.

Until next time, kill your darlings, slay your dragons, and keep writing!
